Maidenhead's regeneration includes four council-owned sites — York Road, West Street, Reform Road and St Cloud Way — covering 6.3 hectares between them, with the potential to deliver around 1,200 homes alongside shops, restaurants, offices and a cultural quarter.

For us that means two distinct streams of work. New and newly refurbished apartments need after-builders cleaning at handover — plaster dust, film residue and adhesive, which keeps settling and usually needs a second visit. And a growing apartment population means a growing rental market, which means steady, deadline-driven end of tenancy demand.

Maidenhead's housing splits fairly cleanly. Town-centre and riverside apartments are compact and efficient to clean — a regular visit is often two to two and a half hours, and turnaround cleans are quick and repeatable. Boyn Hill, Pinkneys Green, Furze Platt and Cox Green are conventional family-home territory, where visits are longer and priorities are kitchens, bathrooms and floors.

Nearer the Thames there is older and higher-specification riverside property, where the usual period considerations apply — original finishes, more glass, and more detail work than the floor area alone suggests.
