That has a practical consequence for cleaning that smaller-town pricing does not capture: floor area, number of bathrooms and the amount of glass all scale up, so a single visit here is typically a longer booking than the same nominal number of bedrooms in a town centre. Ascot station is a junction: the Waterloo to Reading line meets the branch to Guildford here, and both are run by South Western Railway. The station is just under 29 miles from London Waterloo. That matters for scheduling — Ascot commutes east to Waterloo rather than into Paddington, so the household is typically out from early morning, and daytime access via a key or key-safe is the norm rather than the exception.
